Product Manager Resume Example & Template
Product manager resumes are judged on ownership: did you drive a roadmap and a measurable outcome, or did you sit in meetings adjacent to one? The failure mode is writing bullets that describe the team's work rather than your decisions — “launched a new onboarding flow” says nothing about whether you defined the strategy, ran the research, or just wrote the ticket. Name the decision you made and the metric that moved because of it.
Sample resume summary
“Product manager with 5 years leading 0-to-1 and growth-stage features for a B2B SaaS product. Owned the onboarding and activation roadmap, taking 30-day retention from 41% to 58%, and ran discovery that shaped two of the company’s top three revenue initiatives this year.”

Tips for this resume
- Every bullet should have a verb you actually did — “owned,” “defined,” “shipped,” “prioritized” — not a passive construction that hides who made the call.
- Pair every roadmap or launch bullet with the metric it moved. If you don't have the exact number, the direction and rough magnitude still matter more than no metric at all.
- If you've worked with SQL or run experiments yourself rather than delegating to a data analyst, say so explicitly — it differentiates PM candidates who can self-serve data from those who can't.
